The NYSBA Journal features substantive articles, relating to the practice of law in New York State, on business, criminal, elder, environmental, labor and employment, real property and trusts and estates law, as well as other general topics of interest to attorneys. The Journal, a monthly publication of the New York State Bar Association, is distributed to members free of charge, as a benefit of NYSBA membership.
State Bar News
The State Bar News is published two times a year by the New York State Bar Association, with additional on-line content added throughout the year. The State Bar News informs members of Association activities and other matters of interest to the legal profession and is a benefit of membership in the New York State Bar Association.
Over 20 of NYSBA’s Sections create and distribute their own publications as a benefit to their members. They each feature substantive articles, that are peer-written, relating to specific areas of practice, and are free to members of the respective Section.
New York appellate courts release, on average, between 150 and 200 decisions per week. The CasePrepPlus service summarizes the most significant decisions, which include substantive discussions of the facts and the law, into one-paragraph summaries, which are prefaced by succinct headings, allowing the reader to quickly decide whether a case is of interest. Each summary is linked to the full decision. Keeping up with the decisions released the week before, a process which could easily take an individual attorney numerous hours every week, takes only minutes with CasePrepPlus.
New York State Law Digest
The New York State Law Digest publishes significant procedural developments, whether they come from important decisions of the Court of Appeals or other New York state (or federal) courts, statutory or rule amendments or particular local practice issues. The Law Digest keeps NYSBA members updated on issues that impact their everyday practices of law. Edited by David L. Ferstendig, the Law Digest is published monthly and distributed to members free of charge, as a benefit of membership.
